Journey Summary
We start our journey in the tourist island of Bali, where we relax on Kuta's beaches and explore the cultural centre of Ubud. Heading east to the neighbouring island of Lombok we head to the northern village of Senaru at the base of the volcano Gunung Rinjani, where a breathtaking four-day trek takes us to the top of the world. After a well-earned day of rest we strike east through the less interesting island of Sumbawa and into the beautiful island of Flores, which is home to the relaxed beach village of Labuanbajo, the friendly town of Bajawa, and the stunning multi-coloured volcano lakes of Keli Mutu near Moni. Finally we hop on the bus for the last time to reach Maumere, from where it's a short flight back to Bali.
